Step 2: Scheduling Your First Visit

Once you decide to start, Scoop A Lot schedules your first visit. If you are starting weekly service, that first cleanup is free. The technician comes out, scans the entire yard, and removes all visible waste so you start with a clean slate.

If your yard has months of buildup, the first visit may take longer than a typical weekly cleanup. That is expected, and it is included in the free first cleanup when you start weekly service.

You do not need to be home for the visit. As long as the technician can safely access the yard, the cleanup can be completed while you are away. If you have a locked gate or a dog that needs to be inside, let us know when scheduling.

Step 3: Regular Weekly Visits

After the first cleanup, the technician returns on a set day each week. Each visit follows the same process: walk the yard, remove all visible dog waste, and dispose of it off-site. The visit typically takes 15 to 30 minutes depending on yard size and the number of dogs.

You do not need to be home for regular visits either. The technician comes on the scheduled day, and you will know the yard has been cleaned when you see it. If weather prevents a visit, it is rescheduled, and you are not charged for missed visits.

If you need to pause service for a vacation, schedule change, or any other reason, you can do so at any time. There is no contract, and you can adjust your schedule as needed.

Step 4: Add-Ons and Adjustments

If your yard has odor problems in high-traffic areas, you can add odor control treatment to your regular service. This is a pet-safe deodorizing treatment applied after waste removal. It is optional, and you only pay for it if your yard needs it.

If your situation changes, you can adjust your service. Adding a dog, moving to a new house, or changing from weekly to bi-weekly are all easy adjustments. Just call or request a change online.
